Ensuring supply of goods to respond to storm No. 13

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 13, the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa has issued a document directing localities, units and enterprises in the province to proactively deploy response measures, ensure the supply of essential goods and stabilize the market during the rainy and stormy season.

Accordingly, the Department requested the People's Committees of communes, wards and functional units to proactively coordinate with production and business establishments in the area to fully prepare essential goods such as food, food, drinking water, etc. to serve the people, especially in remote areas, areas at risk of being isolated, flooded or landslides. Localities need to regularly monitor the market situation, to avoid shortages of goods, speculation, and price increases during the storm.

For shopping centers, supermarkets, and distribution enterprises, the Department of Industry and Trade recommends reviewing and supplementing plans for goods reserves, increasing the supply of food, foodstuffs, and essential consumer goods; at the same time, coordinate with local authorities to prepare goods according to the "4 on-site" motto to be ready to serve people's needs in all natural disaster situations.

Along with that, Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company and Khanh Hoa Power Company were assigned to develop a plan to ensure stable power supply, arrange human resources, materials and equipment to respond to incidents caused by natural disasters; proactively and quickly fix power outages, ensuring that people's communications and daily activities are not interrupted.

In addition, hydropower reservoir operators, industrial park investors, power projects and mineral exploitation must strictly implement reservoir operation procedures, ensure dam and reservoir safety, proactively develop plans to prevent and combat landslides, and promptly notify localities and people in downstream areas when regulating water.

The Department of Industry and Trade also established a 24/7 duty regime, ready to mobilize forces, means and materials to promptly respond to emergency situations, and closely coordinate with the Provincial Civil Defense Command in directing, operating, and rescuing when required.
