A large number of people and tourists from all over come to attend the Ky Yen Festival at Tan Phu Temple.
The festival is one of the typical cultural and religious activities of the local people, held annually to honor the merits of the ancestors in reclaiming and opening up the land and praying for national peace and prosperity, and bountiful harvests. Thousands of people and tourists from many places come to attend, contributing to creating a lively festival space, connecting the community.
During the festival, many unique traditional rituals are recreated such as: Nghinh sac than ceremony, Tuc yet ceremony, Chanh te ceremony, Tien su - Than Nong - Tien hien - Hau hien ceremony, lantern releasing ceremony... Besides the ceremony, the festival also takes place with exciting activities such as amateur music, ancient opera and folk games such as: tug of war, sack jumping, blindfolded pot smashing... creating a joyful atmosphere, connecting the community.
Tan Phu Communal House was built in 1808 under the reign of King Gia Long. This is one of the oldest religious structures in Dong Thap . It still retains its traditional architecture with a system of panels carved with four sacred animals, tigers, and gilded lacquer... This is also a cultural and historical symbol associated with the development of Thanh Binh land. In 2021, Tan Phu Communal House was ranked as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic by the People's Committee of Dong Thap province.
