(CLO) Chinese police said eight people were killed and 17 others injured in a knife attack at a vocational school in Wuxi city, Jiangsu province, China.
Police said the suspect - a former student - had been arrested. The statement added that the attack took place at the Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in Yixing County at around 6:30 p.m. local time on Saturday.
Police said the suspect was a 21-year-old former student of the school who was due to graduate this year but failed his exams. “He returned to the school to express his anger and committed the murder,” police said, adding that the suspect had confessed.

The statement also added that efforts are underway to treat the injured and investigate the incident.
This is the second serious deadly attack in a week in China, after a man drove a car into a crowd near a sports center in the city of Zhuhai, killing 35 people and injuring 43 others.
