Dam Ha: Inauguration of 2 clean water supply projects in Quang An and Quang Lam communes

On January 16, the People's Committee of Dam Ha district held the inauguration ceremony of two clean water supply projects for villages and hamlets in Quang An and Quang Lam communes.

The project of Clean Water Supply System for 7 villages of Quang An commune (phase 1) has a scale of: 1 water treatment station with a capacity of 30 m³/h and HDPE transmission pipeline system providing clean water for 700 households with about 2,800 people and for primary schools, kindergartens, secondary schools, agencies and units located in the commune, with a total investment of 14.8 billion VND.

The project to upgrade the Sieng Long clean water supply system for 4 villages of Quang Lam commune (phase 1) has a scale of: 1 water treatment plant with a capacity of 30 m³/h and an HDPE transmission pipeline system supplying water to 500 households, 2,000 people and to primary schools, kindergartens, secondary schools, agencies and units located in the commune, with a total investment of more than 12.8 billion VND.

After a period of construction, the works have been completed, 100% of water meters have been installed to households. The putting into use of the Clean Water Supply System for villages and hamlets in Quang An and Quang Lam communes aims to meet the people's need for clean water, thereby contributing to improving the quality of life, ensuring the health of people in the communes; at the same time, increasing the rate of people using clean water in rural areas; contributing to completing the commune-level indicators and criteria to meet the advanced and model new rural standards; completing the indicators and criteria of Dam Ha district to meet the advanced new rural standards, towards meeting the district's criteria to meet the model new rural standards.

The District People's Committee awarded 3 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing clean water projects in Quang An commune.
