Vietnam U23 stars receive big rewards from coach Troussier

On June 12, Coach Troussier announced the list of 30 players of the Vietnamese team preparing for the friendly match with Hong Kong (China).

Khuat Van Khang (27) was promoted to the Vietnam national team.

In this list, there are still familiar faces such as: Van Lam, Duy Manh, Viet Anh, Van Hau, Ngoc Hai, Tien Dung, Thanh Binh, Van Thanh, Tan Tai, Hoang Duc, Tuan Anh, Quang Hai, Tuan Hai, Thanh Binh or Van Toan.

Notably, four players of the U23 team, defender Phan Tuan Tai, midfielder Khuat Van Khang, Hoang Van Toan and striker Nguyen Van Tung, were promoted to the national team by coach Troussier.

These are all players who have had impressive performances in recent times and it is understandable that they were promoted to play with their seniors.

Besides the two names who had to withdraw due to injury, Nguyen Manh and Hong Duy, four other players, Schmidt Adriano, Nguyen Thanh Chung, Nguyen Trong Long and Le Pham Thanh Long, also had to say goodbye to the Vietnamese team.

Among them, Thanh Chung was eliminated due to health problems and Trong Long was injured so he was not selected.

As planned, on the morning of June 13, the Vietnamese team will move to Hai Phong for a friendly match with Hong Kong on June 15.

Meanwhile, the remaining group (including Tien Linh) stayed in Hanoi to practice and prepare for the selection round for the match against Syria (June 20).
