Al Rayyan Club owns a squad of players with outstanding physiques such as Noumory Keita (2.06 m tall), Papemaguette Diagne (2.10 m tall), Nimir Abdel-Aziz (2.02 m tall), and Belal Abunabot (2 m tall). They affirmed their strength with a 3-0 victory over Al Muharraq Club (Bahrain) in the opening match and continued to defeat the Vietnamese team with the same score.

Facing an opponent that was superior in every aspect, coach Tran Dinh Tien gave his players a chance to play. Nguyen Ngoc Thuan, Tran Duy Tuyen, Nguyen Van Quoc Duy, Truong The Khai, and Dinh Van Duy also played with great effort and achieved quite impressive scores. However, the "dinosaur"-like strikers of the Al Rayyan team did not exert all their strength and still won 3-0 against the Vietnamese team to take the top spot in Group D, earning a ticket to the quarterfinals.

The commendable point of the Vietnamese men's volleyball team is their spirit of hard work. Thanks to that, the team has a better position in each game. In game 1, the Vietnamese team lost 11/25 to Al Rayyan Club. In game 2, the score improved to 15/25 and in game 3, Coach Tran Dinh Tien's students lost 21/25.

Thus, losing both matches, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team stopped at the AVC Champions League 2025. Coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team returned home to practice in preparation for upcoming international tournaments, focusing on the 33rd SEA Games taking place in December in Thailand.
