On the evening of June 16, in Hanoi , the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, central mass organizations, and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a meeting with press agencies to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
Member of the Politburo , Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien chaired the meeting.
Also attending the meeting were Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Vice President-General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha; Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Lai Xuan Mon; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh; Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine Hoang Trung Dung; Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh; General Director of VNA Vu Viet Trang; and representatives of leaders of press management agencies and press agencies.

The works of journalists have brought the breath of life and the people to the Party and State leadership agencies and the public to encourage and spread the spirit of great solidarity and creativity in labor production; together with the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army, we have successfully completed the tasks set out over the past time, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien emphasized.
According to Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State do not directly build massive projects, large roads, large factories, etc. However, under the leadership of the Party and the support of press agencies, they will build a solid position of people's hearts - something that is sometimes more precious than gold and silver and plays an important role in the country's development process at the present stage.
The cause of great national unity of our Party and our country is an extremely precious tradition, persistently built by many generations of Vietnamese people with sweat, effort, hardship and sacrifice; the blood and bones of the children of Vietnam have merged into the motherland, becoming golden bricks to build the citadel of the Vietnamese Fatherland.
The Fatherland Front and mass organizations have a very heavy responsibility and mission, to act as a solid bridge between the Party and the people, and the people and the Party. This bridge will certainly build the great national unity bloc and the Vietnamese Fatherland will last forever.
The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front hopes that leaders of press management agencies and press agencies will continue to strengthen coordination with the Front and coordination between press agencies in propaganda and mobilization work, promptly reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of the people, creating social consensus; supporting the building of a healthy and standard press environment, through promoting ethical standards of journalism, promptly rewarding press works for the cause of great national unity, for the community, and for sustainable development.
In addition, it is necessary to encourage the participation of the press in monitoring and social criticism in areas related to the practical interests of the people such as health, education, environment, anti-corruption, waste, negativity, administrative reform, social security; promote multi-platform communication, improve digital transformation capacity for local press, press of socio-political organizations, creating conditions for the voices of the Front and the people to reach the public.
On June 16, at the 9th Session, the National Assembly passed the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution, including amending 3 articles related to the Vietnam Fatherland Front, namely Article 9, Article 10 and Article 84, with 100% of the delegates present. This demonstrates the harmony between the Party's will and the people's will and was approved by the National Assembly.
In the coming time, the Fatherland Front and central organizations will have a new operating model. Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien hopes that journalists will continue to closely follow this model and spread the spirit of great solidarity, the spirit of labor, creativity and dedication to a large number of businesses and people, together contributing to building our country into a new era.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh thanked the sentiments of the Fatherland Front and affirmed that the team of journalists will continue to make more efforts, especially in reflecting the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, including the National Press Award for preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; closely coordinate with the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, so that the press can spread more information, strengthen consensus and great solidarity in the whole society./.
