Evaluation of the effectiveness of environmentally friendly waste treatment model in Chiem Hoa

On November 4, at the Chiem Hoa Commune Cultural House, the Provincial Farmers' Association organized an assessment of the economic, social and environmental effectiveness of environmentally friendly waste treatment techniques within the framework of the project "Propaganda and mobilization of farmers to treat waste in Vietnam" sponsored by EarthCare Foundation.

Delegates discussed the effectiveness of environmentally friendly waste treatment models.

After nearly 4 years of implementation, the models in Chiem Hoa have brought about many positive results: the amount of household waste and agricultural by-products is effectively treated and reused; the rural environment is cleaner; production costs of farming households are reduced thanks to the use of homemade organic fertilizers. Many households have proactively applied composting techniques and source-based waste classification, contributing to changing awareness and habits in agricultural waste treatment.

The evaluation activity aims to summarize the effectiveness of the model and propose solutions to replicate environmentally friendly waste treatment techniques, contributing to the development of sustainable agriculture in Chiem Hoa and the whole Tuyen Quang province.
