Today (April 11), Dr. Duong Ton Thai Duong, Deputy Head of the Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City National University, said that in 2025, this University will implement 3 university admission methods including: direct admission; admission based on the results of the capacity assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University; admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam.

For the direct admission method, there will be 3 subjects: direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, direct admission of the best students of high schools according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University; priority admission of students from 149 high schools nationwide.

According to Dr. Duong, the list of 149 high schools with students given priority for admission in 2025 to member schools of this University will remain stable as in 2024. Of these, there are 79 specialized and gifted high schools, and 70 other high schools according to the criteria of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

In 2024, the number of candidates confirmed to be enrolled in the entire Ho Chi Minh City National University is 23,184, reaching a rate of 95.79%. Of which, the priority admission method according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University accounts for 8.95%.
