Investing more than 318 billion VND to build National Highway 5 service road through Cam Giang

The road through Lai Cach town (Cam Giang) has not been cleared yet due to some households' obstruction.

Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee has just approved the Project of a service road along National Highway 5, through Cam Giang district, with a total length of about 2.6 km.

Accordingly, the investment in building a nearly 2 km long southern service road on National Highway 5, from Ghe intersection to Lai Cach intersection, includes 4 sections: km40+240 - km40+655; km41+815 - km42; km42+142 - km43+120; km43+525 - km43+870.

North of Highway 5, the service road extends from Lai Cach commercial urban area to the end of Cam Binh Shoe Joint Stock Company area, from km44+190.44 to the end point at km44+795, about 604.56 m long.

The project has a total investment of more than 318 billion VND from the provincial budget in the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 and the period 2026-2030. Of which, 150 billion VND will be allocated in 2025 and the remaining capital will be allocated in 2026. The project is invested by the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board.

Construction scale, the section outside the residential area is 11 m wide, the road surface is 7.5 m wide; the section through the residential area is 11.5 m wide, the road surface is 7.5 m wide and has an additional median strip with National Highway 5, minimum 1.5 m.

National Highway 5, the section through Cam Giang district is 12.5 km long, some sections have service roads meeting level IV delta road standards. With investment in the remaining sections, traffic will be synchronously connected, improving exploitation capacity, ensuring safety, reducing congestion and accidents, creating convenience for people and businesses in daily life and production and business.
