With an investment of more than 900 billion VND from the state budget, the software park No. 2 in Da Nang, covering more than 2.8 hectares, has been basically completed but has not been put into use and remains abandoned.

Da Nang Software Park No. 2 has a total area of ​​over 28,000 m2, and construction started in October 2022 in Thuan Phuoc Ward (Hai Chau District). The project is invested by the Da Nang Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board.

The total investment is over 700 billion VND from the state budget. During the construction process, the project was supplemented with over 186 billion VND, bringing the total investment to over 900 billion VND.

The project includes a 20-storey ICT office building, an 8-storey headquarters office building (ICT1), an 8-storey headquarters office building combined with a coffee area (ICT2), along with a system of yards, internal traffic, green landscapes, and a synchronous technical infrastructure system.

Upon completion, the project is expected to provide about 6,000 direct IT jobs. However, before that, the Government had not yet issued legal regulations and legal frameworks on assets and infrastructure of public assets in the IT sector. Da Nang has proposed to the Prime Minister to remove this obstacle.

According to the reporter's records, the construction work has been basically completed, the buildings are ready to be put into operation.

Due to being left unused for a long time, many trees in the project area have begun to wither and become overgrown with grass.
