Promoting digital transformation in trade union activities

On the morning of May 23, in Moc Chau, Son La , the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union opened the 2024 office work training conference.

Attending and directing the Conference was Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union.

Attending the conference were Mr. Vang A La - Chairman of the Son La Provincial Labor Federation; Leaders of the Son La Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union; Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and union officials in charge of offices of trade unions of central departments, ministries, branches and organizations; leaders and officials of the Departments and Offices of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union.

At this training program, delegates listened to and discussed 3 major topics presented by Reporters from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, with the following contents: Instructions on using the document management and administration software of the Vietnam Trade Union (Voffice); Instructions on creating and managing work records; Skills and methods for building reports and thoroughly understanding some regulations on confidential documents.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union emphasized: This training course has many very important contents to provide information, equip knowledge and skills for union officials at all levels on specific tasks to prepare for union office work, actively innovate skills and methods of organizing activities of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union at all levels in the spirit of Resolution 2 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and activities of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation".

Mr. Nguyen Van Dong requested that union officials participating in the training uphold their sense of responsibility, attend fully and seriously; focus on studying the topics taught to apply and implement them well in union activities in the coming time....

On this occasion, Mr. Vang A La - Chairman of Son La Provincial Labor Federation welcomed the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union and union officials for trusting and choosing Son La as the locality to organize the Conference.

Mr. Vang A La introduced some characteristics of people and trade union organizations in Son La and hoped that the conference delegates would have the opportunity to experience, promote and continue to choose Son La for the next programs.

The training conference took place from May 22-24, 2024, with the contents conveyed in the classroom, while combining collective activities for union officials to enhance cohesion and learn from experience. Through the conference, officials at all levels of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union improved their qualifications, knowledge, and skills in union activities; at the same time, they understood the purpose, meaning, content, methods, and steps to perform well in office work in accordance with the digital transformation program in the Union organization.
