It is forecasted that next week, the Mekong Delta will continue to have widespread rain, with rainfall ranging from 50-80mm.
Water quality in some areas of the Mekong Delta is currently declining. The reason is that during the changing seasons, rainwater dissolves substances from the ground surface and flows into canals, leading to increased concentrations of pollutants accumulating in the canals.
In addition, the phenomenon of alum also affects the quality of water sources.

With the rate of water quality degradation becoming increasingly rapid and severe, most intensive and improved extensive shrimp farming areas can experience disease outbreaks after only a short period of time.
Therefore, the agricultural sector and localities in the region need to strengthen solutions to control water salinity, as well as water quality indicators for ponds to promptly handle and control diseases.
