In the context that green technology is not only a trend but also a core factor shaping the future of the Data Center and Cloud Computing industry, this year's DCCI Summit 2025 continues its mission to promote innovative initiatives on a grand scale, aiming to turn green technology into a competitive advantage in the digital age.

Sharing at the Conference, Mr. Le Ba Tan, CEO of Viettel IDC affirmed that AI technology has gradually crept into our lives, whether we really realize it or not.

According to NVIDIA's forecast, after Generative AI, the world will move to Agentic AI and then Physical AI. Agentic AI and Physical AI are two "strategic waves" in the period 2025 - 2030. This is where technology corporations, advanced countries and national AI strategies are aiming.

According to a report by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), within 10 years from 2023 to 2033, the total global revenue from products and services is expected to increase more than 6 times, while revenue from AI will increase more than 25 times. AI is becoming more prominent in all aspects of life as well as in the operations of organizations and businesses. It can be said that AI is truly becoming a game-changer in all fields.

For the Cloud Computing industry, Gen AI is the driving force behind the market's return to growth after the impact of the economic recession.

After the global Covid-19 pandemic, the growth rate of the cloud computing market gradually decreased to the lowest level in the past 10 years at 18.6% in 2023. However, when GenAI was born and developed in 2023, the growth rate of this market was pulled back up and expected to return to the old growth trajectory.

The explosion of AI has posed a huge challenge in terms of rapidly increasing rack power density, forcing infrastructure service providers to change their investment strategies and build high-capacity data centers to meet the development trend of AI with the requirement for high-performance chips and increased computing capacity.

But AI is also driving the growth in demand for data center capacity. According to McKinsey, about 70% of data center operations will be dedicated to advanced AI applications by 2030, including direct and indirect applications of AI.

The global Data Center market is forecast to reach approximately $345 billion by 2025, and will continue to maintain a steady growth rate. In Vietnam, the data center market size is forecast to reach more than $1 billion by 2029, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.8%.

The rapid growth of the data center industry is always accompanied by concerns about sustainability. As the “green” development trend is increasingly widespread, in addition to correctly identifying the needs and types of services to deploy data center design, suppliers are forced to pay more attention to meeting technical standards, choosing advanced technology, optimizing operational performance, saving energy, and applying renewable energy, reducing carbon emissions. In the long term, this will create resonance value in the sustainable development chain for the business community.
