Citing valuable lessons learned from the Great Victory of Spring 1975 in General Secretary To Lam's speech, Ambassador Phung The Long emphasized the lesson of compassion and national reconciliation: "With the policy of closing the past, respecting differences, and looking towards the future, the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army are striving together to build a peaceful, unified, happy, prosperous, and developed Vietnam."
