This afternoon (September 14), in an exchange with Giao thong Newspaper reporters, the leader of the People's Committee of Yen Dung district, Bac Giang province, said that on the same morning, as soon as the authorities discovered a landslide on the left dike of Cau river, which could affect the safety of the dike, they notified local forces to come and fix it. The initial need was only for about 300 people to drive bamboo piles to reinforce the foot of the dike, use sacks filled with soil and sand to block the base to increase the load, and fix the landslide.

However, as soon as the incident was reported, many people took photos and videos and posted them on social media. Immediately after, thousands of people from all over brought tools to Dong Viet to help build the dike.

By noon of the same day, although the weather was hot and the flood water on the river was decreasing, there were still about 1,500 people using hoes, shovels, pineapple bags, stuffing soil, and building dikes.

Thanks to thousands of people working through noon, the incident was resolved early, ensuring absolute safety for the dike, helping to protect the lives and property of people in the area.

The leader of Yen Dung District People's Committee also said: Yen Dung is a low-lying area, where many rivers converge, so in recent days there has always been a risk of flooding. Up to now, flood water on Cau River, Thuong River and Luc Nam River flowing through the area are all receding quite quickly, most of them have reached alert level 2, so they are quite safe.

In flooded areas due to river water overflowing the dike in Tri Yen, Lang Son and Dong Viet communes, water levels are also gradually decreasing, and people are focusing on overcoming the consequences of the flood.
