Prolonged heavy rain causes cracks to appear on La Son - Tuy Loan highway

On the morning of October 27, speaking with SGGP Newspaper reporters, Mr. Tran Duc Hiep, Project Manager of the La Son - Hoa Lien Expressway Expansion Project - Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, said that the unit is zoning and monitoring a crack that appeared at Km50 of the expressway.

Water rushed down the La Son - Tuy Loan highway causing traffic congestion.

According to Mr. Tran Duc Hiep, this is not a serious structural crack, but a small streak on the slope that appeared after many days of continuous heavy rain.

Cracks appeared on the La Son - Tuy Loan route, section KM50 of the route.

This area was heavily affected by the storm that lasted for many days.

“It has been raining all week. The heavy rainfall has caused the ground to become waterlogged, and there have been some minor landslides in some areas, so we have proactively put up ropes and safety warning signs,” said Mr. Tran Duc Hiep.

Forces arrived at the scene to check and isolate areas showing signs of landslides.

Currently, local authorities and the Project Management Board have sent forces to directly monitor the scene, delineate areas with signs of landslides to assess the level of impact and take timely measures.
