The conference's organizing committee received 37 presentations, highlighting the significance of the historic victory of Lang Le Bau Co; the historical and cultural value of this relic site; the responsibility of today's generation to continue preserving and glorifying the nation's resilient tradition...
The purpose of the workshop is to create a basis for proposing to rank Lang Le Bau Co relic site as a national historical relic, while improving the effectiveness of management, exploitation and promotion of heritage values.
Lang Le Bau Co relic site is located in Tan Nhut commune, Ho Chi Minh City, ranked as a city-level historical relic in 2003. This place is not only a red address for educating patriotic traditions, but also a vivid testament to the resilient and indomitable spirit of the people in the resistance war against foreign invaders.
In particular, on April 15, 1948, this place marked a battle of great significance, contributing to the failure of the French colonialists' "quick war, quick victory" plan, opening up important experience in guerrilla warfare.
At the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Ha Minh Hong - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Historical Science Association - presented a paper on Three periods of a gateway base relic in the Southern land of the bronze citadel .
The three periods Mr. Minh Hong mentioned are the period of resistance against the French, the period of resistance against the Americans and the period of 50 years from the day of Liberation of the South and reunification of the country until now. The connection of these three periods becomes the historical and cultural heritage of Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City.

Major General Tran Van Trai - Deputy Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command - emphasized the role of the Ho Chi Minh City armed forces in preserving and promoting the military art of the Lang Le Bau Co battle.
Accordingly, preserving and promoting military art through the fighting style of the Lang Le Bau Co battle is not only a responsibility but also an urgent requirement to build a strong, comprehensive, disciplined, elite, and gradually modern armed force.
Writer Tram Huong - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association - shared about the Lang Le Bau Co relic site from the perspective of the image of a Southern mother. Ms. Tram Huong suggested putting this historical story into a film so that the younger generation can easily access, understand and love history.
There is enough scientific basis to propose Lang Le Bau Co as a national relic.
On this occasion, historical witnesses Nguyen Thanh Trong (Ba Em), Nguyen The Hung, and Nguyen Van Tien recounted the arduous yet heroic struggle, while also inspiring historical education for the younger generation.
Opinions agree on the proposal to rank the Lang Le Bau Co relic site as a national historical relic.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City commented that the presentations and discussion focused on clarifying the historical values, strategic location, role of the base, the hyphen between the Eastern and Western regions of the South, and the special springboard position of Lang Le Bau Co against French colonialism and American imperialism.
“The comments and discussions also focused on clarifying historical and cultural values, directions for protecting, preserving and promoting the values of the relics. There is enough scientific basis to submit to competent authorities for consideration of ranking the Lang Le Bau Co relic site as a national historical relic.
While waiting for competent authorities to review, the functional units of the department need to coordinate with localities to continue implementing solutions to preserve and promote historical values; invest in literary and artistic works, tell insider stories; pay tribute to heroic martyrs through naming streets..." - Mr. Minh Nhut emphasized.
