Five years of traveling all over the roads and villages to reach difficult situations in and outside the province has helped me feel more about the difficult lives and the "poor" fates that need help. During the meetings to connect and give money to support difficult situations, the program organizers often jokingly say "if you don't go, you can send money" in the hope that many benefactors who don't have time to attend directly still join hands to help the characters. However, for me - the editor in charge of the humanitarian program, only by going and sharing can I clearly feel the saying: "Go to understand and then love".

Indeed, only by learning, observing and sharing with each situation, each character and talking with family members who need help in each program can I fully feel and understand the difficulties, hardships and pain of each character. These are newborn babies who have to leave their mother's milk, children who are "not yet full, not yet worried" and are orphaned early because their parents are sick and have no money for treatment, or the difficulties of a young couple with a serious illness... Each character has a different fate, each situation is difficult, but humanitarian television programs in particular have connected and given them strength to overcome, revive and rise up.
Understanding the difficulties, hardships and deprivation of poor patients, humanitarian programs have promptly helped many disadvantaged patients to access medical examination and treatment services; many patients have the opportunity to recover and have stable health; children can go to school and many houses have been repaired and rebuilt with the aim of helping them rise up and change their lives.
Not only did I have the opportunity to share the difficulties with the circumstances in Binh Phuoc province, I was also fortunate to accompany the program “Thirst for Life” to the provinces of Kon Tum, Ninh Thuan, Binh Dinh, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Soc Trang… to connect love. Each place I went to, each circumstance chosen to help had different difficulties. And then the program organizers came up with solutions to “revive” each difficulty.
I remember vividly the times I accompanied “Thirst for Life” to the provinces of the West and Central regions to support people in difficult circumstances. The group’s travel schedule was tight. Most of the time was spent on the bus, because we had to travel through many provinces and cities. Quick meals or lunches at 2pm were a common occurrence for the group.

Going with "Thirst for Life" in programs outside the province, I often joke with my friends that I go on "volunteer tourism ", "go to understand and then love". For me, each trip is not only to join hands to help those in difficult circumstances but also an opportunity for me to learn and explore the lands, people and cultures there. My impression when coming to Hau Giang, Kien Giang, Soc Trang is the image of the red shirts of the uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, and Red Cross officers accompanying the program. From afar, at the intersections before reaching the character's house, the association will send officers and members to welcome the group and lead them in.
Usually, the circumstances in humanitarian TV programs that receive a lot of money or a little money will be known right when the program is taking place. Because, if the number of participants is large, the amount of money will be multiplied in the way of "a little bit makes a lot". In 2023, participating in "Thirst for Life" to give gifts at Ms. Dang's house (Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province), I had to text groups of friends directly to ask for support for the character. Because the story of the salty and bitter dish of Xa Bau - the family's "high-class" dish touched the hearts of those who attended directly. It is the story of children eating rice with Xa Bau, pouring plain water as soup and having not eaten meat or fish for a long time.
With 4 criteria in order of priority: Medical examination and treatment; house building and repair; sending children to school and consulting on livelihood solutions, "Aspiration to live" has helped many poor families in Binh Phuoc province in particular and provinces and cities across the country overcome difficulties.

BPTV is coordinating the implementation of 3 humanitarian television programs including: “Aspiration to Live” in collaboration with the Association for the Support of People with Disabilities - Orphans and Poor Patients of Binh Phuoc Province, Nhat Advertising Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City); the program “Sharing the Pain” in collaboration with the Association for the Support of People with Disabilities - Orphans and Poor Patients of Binh Phuoc Province and the program “Wings of Dreams” in collaboration with VNPT Binh Phuoc. The programs are implemented periodically every month, acting as a bridge, connecting the community to help students who overcome difficulties to study well; people in difficult circumstances with serious illnesses; orphans, etc.
And then, as fate would have it, humanitarian television programs on BPTV are a bridge to spread the humanitarian spirit, the message of “sharing love”, connecting kind hearts with those in difficult circumstances. The program is an opportunity for everyone to express love, kindness and sharing with the community. It is a symbol of solidarity and help that needs to be spread and multiplied in society.
