Forum Listening to children talk about climate change and environmental protection

On May 31, in Lao Cai city, the Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Project Management Board (Ministry of Education and Training), UNICEF in Vietnam, and Green Community Vietnam to organize the Forum Listening to children talk about climate change and environmental protection.

Attending the forum were representatives of the Department of Education and Training, Project Management Board ( Ministry of Education and Training ), Vietnam Green Community, Department of Education and Training of districts, towns and cities and nearly 100 students representing 15,000 primary and secondary school students in the province.

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Anh, leader of the Vietnam Green Community, inspired environmental protection at the forum.

At the forum, in the form of dramatization, students were organized into teams (each district, town, city was a team). Each team expressed their voice through reporting on activities organized at school. Each team selected content related to children's rights; propaganda and promotion of local culture, languages ​​and writings of ethnic minorities; activities to prevent social evils; environmental protection activities... to include in the video and image reports.

The forum is an opportunity for students to express their love for nature, convey meaningful messages about climate change and environmental protection. Through the forum, students, primary and secondary schools, the community and stakeholders see the harmful effects of climate change, thereby having positiveeducational activities to contribute to environmental protection, creating skills to cope with climate change.
