Congratulatory message to the new Prime Minister of Japan

On the occasion of Ms. Takaichi Sanae, President of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan (LDP), being elected as the 104th Prime Minister of Japan, on October 21, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory message.

On the same day, Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Motegi Toshimitsu on his appointment as Foreign Minister of Japan.

Previously, in the session on October 21, the Japanese House of Representatives elected Ms. Takaichi Sanae as the country's new prime minister, with 237 votes in favor out of 465 votes in the House of Representatives.

Ms. Takaichi Sanae is the first female prime minister in Japanese history.
