According to information from artist Ngoc Huyen, actor Cuong Pham (full name Pham Quoc Cuong) passed away at 2am on May 15, at the age of 31. The funeral took place on the same day, and the funeral will be held at 11am on May 18. After that, the actor's coffin will be buried in Hamlet 6, Da Phuoc, Binh Chanh, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to relatives and friends, Cuong Pham has been suffering from a brain fungus and has been treated at the Tropical Hospital for over a month. On April 23, the actor's health deteriorated to an alarming level. Close friends said Cuong Pham could not speak clearly, could not eat, and had only been on IV for half a month. His poor family could no longer afford the cost but still tried every way to treat him.

Previously, artist Lo Lo (Lam Quoc Khai) organized a fundraiser on stage to support Cuong Pham's medical expenses. Many colleagues and audiences joined hands to support, showing their love and concern for the young actor.

Cuong Pham was born in 1994, is a young and versatile face, known through the contest Promising Faces of Stage and Cinema 2016. During his career, Cuong Pham has participated in acting in a number of short films, plays and once made an impression with the image of Co Ba Sai Gon in the parody project Living far from you is not easy.

In addition, he also appeared in the musical film Nhat vo nhi troi with artist Vo Minh Lam and Meritorious Artist Ngoc Huyen. On his personal page, Cuong Pham introduces himself as a makeup artist, freelance actor and group leader at Ben Xua Lo To Theater Troupe.

Cuong Pham's passing has left many colleagues in the art world heartbroken. Meritorious Artist Ngoc Huyen - who worked with Cuong Pham on the project "First Wife, Second Sky" , expressed her condolences on her personal page and shared: "I'm sad that Cuong Pham has really passed away... Because Cuong didn't have insurance, he has been hospitalized for over a month. Now the family is in a lot of debt, I just feel even more sorry for the person left behind."

Mr. Pham Minh Huy - Cuong Pham's close friend - also posted: "Farewell to my younger brother and a colleague. In that place, I am sure that the physical pain has passed, but the pain of the mother who was left behind had to endure the loss of her child due to a serious illness and had to work hard to pay off her debt after the funeral ended."
