Actress Kha Ly: Having a child after 8 years of waiting, everything is like a dream

Kha Ly and her husband brought their daughter home to celebrate Tet in their hometown of An Giang . The actress said that because she was busy taking care of the baby, this year her family did not decorate the house like every year. However, the 2019 Bolero Love champion was happy because the family had a new member after more than 8 years of waiting.

Sharing with us, Kha Ly said that having a baby is the great happiness of her and Thanh Duy in 2024. The beauty confided: “That is the goal that took my husband and I 8 years to achieve. So last year, I quit all my jobs to spend time on my journey of motherhood. I felt it was worth it when my child was born, it helped my family to be happier and more connected. Everything is like a dream, I can't believe that I have such a lovely baby."

The actress of the movie Gate of the Sun admitted that since having a child, she has not had as much time for herself as before. Kha Ly's day is mainly focused on taking care of her daughter. "Luckily, I have relatives to support me so I still have time to rest a little, otherwise, if I were alone, I think I would be stressed," the 8X beauty shared.

Before Tet, Kha Ly spent a month participating in a film project. To focus on her role, the actress sent her baby back to her hometown for her family to take care of. Thanh Duy's wife said that when she returned home, looking at her child felt strange, she felt sad and sorry for herself.

“I felt like I had only been away from my baby for a month, so I had to put my work aside. At that time, I saw a Tet movie and thought it would be a pity to give it up, so I tried. Now, whatever I do will not be perfect. If I choose this, I have to accept giving up that. I cannot take on everything,” she confided.

Kha Ly realizes that currently, participating in a long-term project means she doesn't have much time with her child. If she wants to be with her child, she can only participate in short projects, filming for a few days. "But for long-term projects, sometimes I film from 5am to 3am the next morning before returning home. During the time I'm filming, I send my child back to my mother's hometown so someone can help take care of him. During that time, I can't see my child, so I miss him," she shared.

Regarding her husband's changes, Kha Ly revealed that since having a child, Thanh Duy has spent all her free time on the baby. She added: "He loves playing with the baby. I take care of diapers, milk... and my husband takes care of the finances and helps take care of the baby when I'm busy. My husband and I divide the time to play so that the baby can have the most complete childhood with his parents. Whenever we have free time, we take the baby out to play so that the baby is not unfamiliar."

After giving birth, Kha Ly did not feel any financial pressure because she had saved for a long time. She said that the couple had prepared financially to avoid the pressure of shortages. “So we were not worried in the past year. Thanh Duy’s job is stable now, and although I do not do much business, I had saved up before so we were both comfortable,” she said.

When asked about letting her child follow her parents' artistic career, Kha Ly said she and her husband want everything to go naturally. "When my child grows up, I will respect his interests and not force him," she shared.
