Accordingly, at the conference, the Politburo's decision to transfer, assign, and appoint Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission was announced.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat was born in 1962, in An Dinh commune, Mo Cay Nam district, Ben Tre province. He has the degree of associate professor and doctor of physics.

Mr. Dat is a member of the Party Central Committee, terms XII and XIII, and a delegate of the National Assembly, terms XII, XIII and XIV.

Before holding the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat worked for many years at Ho Chi Minh City National University, including serving as Deputy Director and then Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University...

From November 2020 to present, he is the Minister of Science and Technology.

As the Minister of Science and Technology, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat has made contributions to making great breakthroughs in the field of science and technology.
