Conditions for awarding "Ho Chi Minh Prize", "State Prize" in literature and art

The Decree clearly states that the consideration for awarding the " Ho Chi Minh Prize" and "State Prize" for literature and art must ensure the following principle: Works, clusters of works, projects, clusters of projects (works, projects) on literature and art by authors can only be proposed for awarding one specialized field of literature and art.

Literary and artistic works of authors who have been awarded the "State Prize" for literature and art cannot be combined with other literary and artistic works to be proposed for the "Ho Chi Minh Prize" for literature and art.

Councils at all levels may only submit to competent superiors for consideration cases that meet the prescribed conditions, standards, procedures, and records.

Conditions for awarding the "Ho Chi Minh Prize" and "State Prize" in literature and art

The Decree specifically stipulates the conditions for consideration for the award of the "Ho Chi Minh Prize" and the "State Prize" in literature and art: Authors with works and projects on literature and art proposed for consideration for the award of the "Ho Chi Minh Prize" and the "State Prize" in literature and art must be loyal to the Fatherland, comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State; Foreign authors with works and projects on literature, art, and research on Vietnam proposed for consideration for the award of the "Ho Chi Minh Prize" and the "State Prize" in literature and art must respect the independence, sovereignty , unity, territorial integrity, laws and good customs and practices of Vietnam;

Works and projects on literature and art considered for the "Ho Chi Minh Prize" and "State Prize" in literature and art must meet the following conditions: They have been published and used in the forms of publishing, architecture, exhibitions, theater, cinema, radio, television, teaching, and records since September 2, 1945.

The minimum time for a work or project on literature or art to be published or used is 5 years for the "Ho Chi Minh Prize" and 3 years for the "State Prize" from the time of submitting the application for the "Ho Chi Minh Prize" or "State Prize" for literature or art to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism or the Department of Culture and Sports or the Central Association of Specialized Literature and Art. There is no dispute over copyright from the time of publication or use or there is a dispute but it has been resolved by the competent authority at the time of submitting the application for the award.

Criteria for awarding the "Ho Chi Minh Prize" in literature and art

Literary and artistic works published and used before 1993 must meet the following criteria: exceptionally excellent; of very high value in terms of literature, art, and ideological content; of great significance in serving the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, of great and long-term influence on people's lives, of important contribution to the cause of socio-economic development and the development of Vietnamese literature and art.

Literary and artistic works published and used after 1993 must meet the following criteria: exceptionally excellent; of very high value in literature, art, and ideological content; of great significance in serving the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, of having a wide and long-term influence on people's lives, of making an important contribution to the cause of socio-economic development and the development of Vietnamese literature and art; awarded at least one Gold Prize at national professional competitions, festivals and exhibitions on literature and art organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism or professional competitions, festivals and exhibitions on literature and art organized by the Central Association of Specialized Literature and Art or awards at international professional competitions, festivals and exhibitions on literature and art; each work in a cluster of works or each work in a cluster of works on literature and art must meet the criteria specified in Point c of this Clause; A script made into a film and shown, or a script made into a play and performed, or a dance script staged and performed, must meet the standards specified in Point c of this Clause.

Criteria for awarding "State Prize" in literature and arts

Literary and artistic works published and used before 1993 must meet the following criteria: have high value in terms of ideological content and artistic form; have good effects in education, building new people, improving the aesthetic level of the people, and significantly contributing to the development of Vietnamese literature and art.

Works and projects on literature and art published and used after 1993 must meet the following criteria: have high value in terms of ideological content and artistic form; have good effects in education, building new people, improving the aesthetic level of the People, contributing significantly to the development of Vietnamese literature and art; be awarded at least one Gold or one Silver Prize at national professional competitions, festivals and exhibitions on literature and art organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism or professional competitions, festivals and exhibitions on literature and art organized by the Central Association of Specialized Literature and Art or awards at international professional competitions, festivals and exhibitions on literature and art...
