Reviewing the progress of preparations for the Vietnam - China International Trade Fair in 2025

The Department of Finance leaders reported on the progress of fair preparations.

As planned, the Fair Opening Ceremony will take place at 9:00 a.m. on November 20 at Kim Thanh Fair - Exhibition Center, Lao Cai Ward and the Closing Ceremony will be held on November 24, 2025.

Within the framework of the Fair, there will be many important trade promotion and foreign affairs activities. Specifically, on November 19, 2025, there will be a conference to introduce mechanisms, policies and investment attraction projects, a press conference to inform about the Fair and a diplomatic meeting with the delegation of Yunnan province (China) chaired by the leaders of Lao Cai province.

On November 20, the Economic - Trade Cooperation Talks took place between Lao Cai province and Yunnan province; The conference introduced import - export mechanisms and policies combined with trade between Vietnamese - Chinese enterprises.

From November 20 to November 23, there will be Megalive sessions introducing, promoting and selling products directly at the Fair, to promote trade connections and product consumption.

Up to now, the Fair Organizing Committee, the Department of Finance and related departments and branches have deployed tasks to ensure progress according to plan. The Organizing Committee has received registrations from 159 participating units, enterprises and cooperatives with a total of 331 booths, of which the Chinese side registered 200 standard booths.

Main items such as the Auto Exhibition Pavilion, Lao Cai Exhibition Area - Center for connecting trade between Vietnam, ASEAN and Southwest China, Exhibition Area of achievements in socio-economic development of Lao Cai province, Lao Cai - Yunnan Exhibition Area: Connection and development, Food Court have been assigned to units to implement according to plan.

At the meeting, representatives of departments and branches reported in detail on the work of ensuring security and order, fire prevention and fighting, food hygiene and safety at the food court, accommodation for guests, preparation for the opening ceremony, cultural and artistic programs, art photo exhibitions and exhibitions of the province's development achievements, along with the time and plan to welcome delegates.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the proactive and responsible spirit of departments, branches and units in preparing for the Fair, and at the same time requested to continue completing the remaining tasks, ensuring the successful organization of this important event.

He requested careful preparation for the Opening Ceremony, from the script, reception, ceremonies, welcoming delegates, to the welcoming performance program. The assigned departments and individuals must have a firm grasp of the seating plan, guide delegates to the correct positions, and at the same time unify the list of foreign delegates to promptly issue official invitations.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Lao Cai ward to promote urban beautification work, creating a spacious, clean and beautiful appearance to serve the Fair.

Regarding the work of import, export and import of goods, he requested the Border Guard Command and the Customs Branch of Region VII to arrange separate lanes for delegates and businesses participating in the Fair, and at the same time review and check the packaging and labels of goods displayed at the Fair.

The Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police and the Lao Cai Border Guard Command strengthen security, safety, fire prevention and fighting; the quarantine, tax and relevant agencies create favorable conditions for quarantine work, declaration and support for businesses.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Sinh suggested increasing propaganda and promotion of the fair on the province's mass media, contributing to spreading the image of Lao Cai as a dynamic, friendly destination with great potential for international cooperation.
