On the morning of October 28th, the Provincial Military Command held an inauguration and handover ceremony for a house of gratitude presented to the family of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Huu in Quang Hung commune (Hung Yen province).
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Huu is a disabled veteran (category 2/3) who fought in the Cambodian battlefield and is in extremely difficult circumstances regarding housing. His current house is severely dilapidated and unsafe. The Hung Yen Provincial Military Command requested the 3rd Military Region Command to provide funding from the "Gratitude and Repayment" Fund of the 3rd Military Region's armed forces to build a house of gratitude. After nearly 5 months of construction, the sturdy house was completed on schedule and to a high standard, with a usable area of 60 m² and a total cost of 400 million VND. Of this amount, the 3rd Military Region Command contributed 80 million VND, with the remainder coming from the family's savings, contributions from children and grandchildren, and local support.
At the inauguration and handover ceremony of the "House of Gratitude," the Provincial Military Command and Quang Hung commune presented the family with many meaningful household items. This practical activity was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the armed forces of Military Region 3, and also demonstrated the affection and moral principle of "drinking water, remembering the source" of the officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Military Region 3 towards policy beneficiary families and those who have contributed to the revolution.
