On June 6, the seminar "Vietnam Interior Architecture Trends 2026 - 2030" took place in Hanoi , gathering many domestic and international experts, architects, and designers, opening a multi-dimensional dialogue forum on the future of the Vietnamese interior industry. This was also the official launch of the Trend 26+ publication, the first trend publication of the Vietnamese interior industry.

At the Seminar, speakers and leading experts shared in-depth analysis and forecasts of key interior design and architectural trends in Vietnam in the next 5 years.

The discussion did not stop at the domestic market but expanded to the global context, clarifying the major shifts affecting aesthetics and consumer psychology around the world . Speakers also presented lessons from the Asia-Pacific region, where many countries are actively building their own interior design identities.

In particular, the speakers discussed enthusiastically about the central topic: "How can Vietnamese interior design create its own identity in the flow of global integration?", thereby opening up many directions for the Vietnamese interior design industry.

Trends highlighted include: Personalization of living space; demand for sustainable, essential products; green architecture and interiors; honoring heritage and art in living space.

Experts also believe that interior design is not only an aesthetic element but also acts as a “third skin” – connecting people, the environment and cultural identity, creating living spaces with unique characteristics.

Trend 26+ publication features in-depth contributions from 45 authors from Vietnam and the Asia- Pacific region.

Spreading the spirit of creativity and Vietnamese design

Architect Le Truong, Chairman of the Vietnam Furniture Association emphasized: “We are living in a period where interior design is no longer just the 'final decoration' for a space, but has become a language that reflects the lifestyle, thinking, personal values and even the cultural identity of each country.

He also commented that Vietnamese interior design is entering a period of rapid development with the emergence of many talented young designers, potential domestic brands and a market that increasingly focuses on aesthetics, experience and culture.

However, the sector still lacks a highly connected interior ecosystem, a long-term orientation on a distinct design language and a support mechanism for Vietnamese interiors to build a brand in the international arena.

According to Mr. Le Truong, to transform potential into real competitiveness, the interior architecture industry needs a synchronous strategy from training, production, communication to research and trend publication.

One of the core goals of the Vietnam Furniture Association is to contribute to building the identity of Vietnamese furniture – not only to serve the domestic market, but also to identify and position Vietnamese furniture on the world design map.

“We don’t need to copy the world – we have the right and enough foundation to create interior trends with Vietnamese names,” Mr. Le Truong emphasized.

Trend 26+ is the first trend publication of the Vietnamese interior industry.

The highlight of the event was the official launch of the Trend 26+ publication. This is the first trend publication of the Vietnamese furniture industry, initiated by three pioneering brands in the field of interior materials and accessories: Minh Long Wood, Viglacera and Huy Hoang Lock; professionally sponsored by the Vietnam Furniture Association and the Vietnam Association of Architects.

Trend 26+ marks an important turning point in the journey of shifting the mindset of the entire industry: From a passive position of receiving to proactively researching, forecasting and creating trends.

The publication is built on the database of World Global Style Network (WGSN) - the world's leading trend forecasting organization, combined with data from international exhibitions and professional contributions of 45 authors from Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region.

Not just a publication, Trend 26+ is also a manifesto for a new vision, which is to build a sustainable creative ecosystem, where designers, architects, professional associations and pioneering brands resonate together to create the identity of Vietnamese interior and architecture in the global flow.

Dr. Architect Phan Dang Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Architects, highly appreciated the launch of the publication: "The birth of Trend 26+, a specialized publication on Architectural Interiors, will contribute a valuable foundation for Vietnamese Architecture in general, and Interior Architecture in particular, with more opportunities to blossom and bear fruit, imbued with local character, reaching out to integrate into the modern and sustainable international community."
