“DISA – The Doctrine of Love”: The book that connects and spreads love

The book "DISA - The Theory of Love" by author Ha Huy Thanh (Information and Communication Publishing House) takes love as the original energy to spread and connect philosophy, art, technology... in the context of technology and AI explosion, social life has many changes.

Love - Vietnamese cultural heritage in the age of technology

In many conversations, author Ha Huy Thanh always emphasized: "Love is a precious heritage value of Vietnam". Therefore, he chose the word DISA as a double symbol: it is both an abbreviation of Divine Intelligence-Sensitivity-Awakening, and a simple way of calling the word "heritage" in Vietnamese.

This interpretation brings love back to its true nature: not just an emotion, but a long-standing cultural foundation and a form of energy that humans can practice, nurture, and spread.

In the context of strong AI development, the author himself also asks the question: what helps humans not be replaced? And the answer throughout his works is: only love is the value that helps humans surpass machines.

The special point of “The Doctrine of Compassion” is that it does not stop at theory. Along with the book, Ha Huy Thanh has built DISA Valley - Valley of Compassion, the first creative space and meditation - art - technology in Vietnam focusing on Compassion.

Disa Valley includes “new cultural industry” projects, including:

Disa Art House: contemporary art space associated with the workshop “Art and Healing”.

Disa Yoga & Retreats: “21 Days of Reprogramming the Brain with Love” program.

Disa Water & Disa Tea: a line of health products with positive energy, connecting tea and water culture with a mindful lifestyle.

Compassion Festival: annual festival of culture, art, meditation, and music .

Disa Token & Disa Lab: blockchain technology project applying Compassion philosophy to develop humanistic AI.

What all these initiatives have in common is a move towards “life energy”, where people can return to stillness, creativity and love.

Compassion opens up another direction of development for the cultural industry.

At the book launch, Historian Duong Trung Quoc affirmed that author Ha Huy Thanh has pursued the theme of love for nearly a decade, from the first book he read eight years ago to today's "Theory of Love".

He emphasized that Ha Huy Thanh's works carry within them "the experience of the Vietnamese people", a nation that has overcome countless challenges, where human love has become a spiritual support for building and reviving. Ha Huy Thanh's elevation of the theme of love to a "doctrine" is a response to the needs of today's life, where people need to reposition their life values in the face of the turmoil of technology and the times.

Notably, he shared that he had experimented and “realized that AI also needs to be created with compassion.” This is an important observation: if AI is developed by people without a foundation of compassion, the risk of ethical deviation is entirely possible.

Former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien assessed that the DISA doctrine opens a different development direction for Vietnam's cultural industry. According to him, the cultural industry is not only about exploiting available resources, but also needs a guiding philosophy to form a creative ecosystem. And the philosophy of Love, if thoroughly researched and widely applied, can become a "soft material" to help Vietnam create its own mark on the world cultural map.

He believes that connecting philosophy, art and technology in DISA is in line with the trend of the global cultural industry. A country can become a “nation of love” if it has a vision of sustainable development, takes people as the center and considers Love as the driving force of creativity.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Huong, when introducing the book, also emphasized the social security aspect of the philosophy of Love. According to him, “DISA - The Doctrine of Love” provides in-depth analysis of artificial intelligence and the relationship between AI and humans.

In the era where AI can replace humans in many jobs, only love and non-material, irrational values are the core distinguishing points. When AI is developed based on humanistic principles, technology will serve humans better and minimize social risks.

A notable feature is that most of Ha Huy Thanh’s books (except the one published in Italy) are donated to libraries, organizations, training facilities… as a way of “giving love”. Love, according to him, can only exist when shared.

Ha Huy Thanh is a descendant of the late General Secretary Ha Huy Tap. He is a businessman and the author of five books: "Love", "Vietnam - Country of Love", "Vietnamese Tea Culture - Journey to Self-Return", "Mother Goddess Religion - Cultural Heritage of Love" and "Compassion - Love" new edition.
