Since the exciting final at Wimbledon when Djokovic was defeated by Alcaraz, fans have been looking forward to a rematch between the two current world top players.
In Cincinnati, the much-anticipated rematch was officially re-enacted when Alcaraz came from behind to beat Hubert Hurkacz 2-1 (2-6, 7-6, 6-3) and Novak Djokovic easily defeated Alexander Zverev 2-0 (7-6, 6-4) this morning.
Djokovic won all matches in Cincinnati without losing a set
Djokovic shared after the win: "I had a bad match. I could have done better but I'm happy to win in consecutive sets."
Djokovic won all his matches in Cincinnati, while 20-year-old Alcaraz had to go to the third set to decide the winner. Djokovic is on the verge of becoming the oldest player in the tournament to win the championship.

Before this final match, which will take place at 3:30 a.m. tomorrow, August 21, the two tennis players currently ranked 1 and 2 have met 3 times on clay and grass courts.
The final in Cincinnati was the first time the two players faced each other in the tournament and was an important warm-up match before the US Open on August 28.
