On May 28, Vietnam-Germany University in collaboration with Advantech Group (Taiwan - China) launched the AIoT Developer InnoWorks 2025 Application Development Competition (InnoWorks 2025).
This is a science and technology competition in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) held annually since 2019 for students. This year, the competition has expanded to a national scale with a first prize worth 65 million VND, a second prize of 35 million VND, a third prize of 18 million VND and 3 consolation prizes of 9 million VND each. Teams that pass the qualifying round will be supported with 2 million VND each.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Dr. La Vinh Trung, Head of the Department of Scientific Research Management (Vietnam-Germany University), said that the InnoWorks 2025 competition continues to be held with the goal of developing and honoring young AIoT talents in Vietnam, helping students access practical knowledge and develop innovation capacity.
"After the competition, many high-ranking teams encountered difficulties in accessing funding to complete and develop their products. As the organizing unit, the school will continue to accompany the teams through activities connecting with businesses, consulting on business models and providing initial support in the startup journey," emphasized Dr. Trung.
Vietnam-Germany University campus - where the competition will take place
This year's competition has two main themes. One is smart manufacturing, aiming to find solutions to automate and optimize production processes, improve efficiency and reduce costs thanks to AIoT technology that analyzes data in real time.
The second theme is Energy and Environment, which seeks to address energy saving, emission reduction, and sustainable resource management issues through innovative and environmentally friendly technology solutions. Teams participating in the competition will use Advantech Group's technology platforms and tools to solve problems in these two themes.

The preliminary round will take place in July, the semi-finals in August and the finals in November.
