Quang Nam: Honoring outstanding initiatives in community health care

50 outstanding initiatives in the “Proactive Healthcare Initiative” contest were honored, with a total prize value of nearly 500 million VND. The three highest prizes were awarded to Tran Quoc Toan, Dinh Bo Linh and Luong The Vinh Primary Schools, Quang Nam Province.

Recently, more than 500 students, teachers, parents and representatives of the Board of Directors of 50 schools in Quang Nam participated in the closing ceremony of the program "Proactive Health Promotion" at Tran Van On Primary School, Nui Thanh District, Quang Nam Province.

The event also had the participation of organizing units including: Prudential Vietnam Life Insurance Company Limited (Prudential), Prudence Foundation and partner Junior Achievement Vietnam (JA Vietnam).

The "Proactive Health Promotion" program will be implemented in 50 schools in Tam Ky city, Nui Thanh and Thang Binh districts, Quang Nam province from December 2024. With the goal of minimizing health problems caused by climate change, the program is expected to improve the knowledge and skills of students, teachers and parents through a series of diverse activities. The program aims to build a proactive health care ecosystem with the participation of schools - families - students. In which, schools play a central role - a bridge to maintain and spread positive impacts in a sustainable way in the local community.

Students enthusiastically participated in games at the closing event of the program "Proactively promoting health"

Mr. Conor Martin O'Neill, Deputy Chief Financial Officer of Prudential Vietnam shared: "At Prudential, we believe that supporting public health, especially for the younger generation, is an investment in a brighter future. This project is not just about raising awareness in schools, it also reflects our long-term commitment to building healthier and more sustainable communities in Vietnam."

At the event, 50 outstanding initiatives in the "Proactive Healthcare Initiative" contest were honored, with a total prize value of nearly 500 million VND. Of which, three Sustainability awards - the highest awards - were given to Tran Quoc Toan, Dinh Bo Linh and Luong The Vinh Primary Schools. By finding creative, feasible and highly applicable ideas, the contest helps schools to perfect and gradually replicate healthcare models in the school environment. At the same time, the contest also aims to spread the spirit of healthcare and improve the capacity to respond to climate change, contributing to building a healthier and more sustainable community.

After one year of implementation, the "Proactive Health Promotion" program has reached andeducated more than 15,000 students, 576 teachers and 561 parents through teaching activities, parent workshops and health check-ups.
