Novak Djokovic had a convincing start on his journey to conquer his 25th Grand Slam title at Roland Garros 2025.
The Serbian No. 6 seed had no difficulty defeating Mackenzie McDonald (USA, world No. 98) with a score of 3-0 (6-3, 6-3, 6-3).
This is an important victory to help Djokovic regain confidence after a rough start to the clay season. However, he just won his 100th ATP title in Geneva a few days ago.
The 38-year-old said the windy and rainy conditions made things a little difficult at first. But he was pleased with his performance and felt better than he had in the past few weeks. Djokovic's next opponent will be home player Corentin Moutet (ranked 73).
