(CTTĐTBP) - At the invitation of the government of Weifang city, Shandong province, China to attend the opening ceremony of the 42nd International Kite Festival and the opening ceremony of the 26th Tho Quang Vegetable Technology Exhibition Fair, from April 18 to 21, 2025, the delegation of Binh Phuoc province led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tuyet Minh, along with representatives of departments and branches attended the above events.

The Weifang International Kite Festival is an annual international event held on the third weekend of April every year in Weifang City - the city known as the " World Kite Capital". The Binh Phuoc delegation attended the opening ceremony with the leaders of Weifang City and many international guests. Since its first organization in 1984, the festival has been held continuously for 41 times, attracting international visitors from nearly 100 countries and regions. In 1988, at the 5th festival, Weifang City was officially recognized as the "World Kite Capital". On April 1, 1989, the International Kite Federation was established in Weifang, currently with 16 member countries on the board of directors and 67 member countries. The secretariat of the federation is located in Weifang, becoming the first international sports organization headquartered in a mid-sized city in China.

In this series of events, the delegation of Binh Phuoc province attended the opening ceremony of the 26th Tho Quang Vegetable Technology Exhibition in China. Here, the delegation visited the Tho Quang International Vegetable Technology Exhibition in China, with the theme "Green - Technology - Future". The festival aims to promote the development of modern agriculture, gathering and displaying the latest technologies, plant varieties, achievements and trends in the field of vegetables at home and abroad. At the same time, the festival encourages innovation in science, technology and agricultural management. The event has become a large-scale professional international fair, combining exhibition, trade and tourism. To date, more than 30 million visitors have visited, researched and sought cooperation opportunities at this festival.

On this occasion, the delegation of Binh Phuoc province had a meeting with the leaders of Duy Phuong city led by Mr. Luu Kien Quan - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Mayor of Duy Phuong city and representatives of departments and agencies of Duy Phuong city and Tho Quang city. Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tuyet Minh introduced the potential and strengths of Binh Phuoc province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tuyet Minh emphasized that the province always considers the success of investors as the success of the locality and is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for foreign enterprises, including enterprises from China, when they come to explore cooperation and long-term investment opportunities in Binh Phuoc province. The priority for attracting investment in the coming time is to develop industrial infrastructure; projects in the processing industry (wood processing, rubber, food); supporting industry, manufacturing industry, especially electronics industry, consumer goods; high-tech industry; urban development, hotels; trade, services, transportation, logistics; vocational training, human resource development... These are the areas in which Binh Phuoc has advantages and is promoting development, Chinese enterprises may be interested. Mr. Liu Jianjun said: In the context that General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping just paid a state visit to Vietnam from April 14-15, 2025, and together with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam planned a new roadmap for building a community sharing the future of Vietnam - China in the new era, the visit of Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh and the delegation of Binh Phuoc province to Duy Phuong this time to attend cultural exchange events has a very special meaning.

In recent years, Weifang City has been one of the top 30 cities in foreign trade in China. In 2024, the total import and export turnover reached more than 350 billion yuan, an increase of 5.2% over the same period last year, ranking 26th among major cities. At the same time, the Weifang City government also encourages enterprises to proactively and confidently reach out to the world. Currently, the city has 175 enterprises establishing over 331 bases in more than 80 countries and territories. Of which, there are 13 investment projects in Vietnam with a total investment of 890 million USD, bringing benefits to both sides. Among the 13 projects, the largest is Haohua Tire Group investing in Binh Phuoc province, with a total investment of 500 million USD, a production scale of 14.4 million sets of high-performance tires per year, and is the largest foreign-invested project in Binh Phuoc. Since the groundbreaking in October 2023, the construction progress has been favorable, and preferential policies from Vietnam have been effectively implemented. The project has been operational since November 2024, with capacity gradually increasing as planned, reaching 40% of the original plan. Orders are abundant and expected to reach maximum capacity in June and July 2025.

Mr. Luu Kien Quan thanked the Binh Phuoc delegation for creating favorable conditions for Haohua Tire Company to operate in Binh Phuoc; hoping that in the coming time, the Binh Phuoc provincial government will continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for Haohua Company to develop in Binh Phuoc.
