(BD) - At nearly 9:00 p.m. on April 4, the train carrying officers and soldiers to Ho Chi Minh City to prepare to participate in the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) arrived at Dieu Tri Station.

The train was led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army. Vice Chairman of the Lam Hai Giang Provincial People's Committee and hundreds of cadres, soldiers, union members, youths and people were present at Dieu Tri Station to welcome the train.

Vice Chairman of Lam Hai Giang Provincial People's Committee (right cover) and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam Army, presented flowers and encouraged the forces participating in the parade.

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony, Vice Chairman of Lam Hai Giang Provincial People's Committee affirmed: Binh Dinh Province is very honored to welcome the delegations of officers and soldiers of the military branches and services to participate in the parade at the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day passing through the province.

Comrade Lam Hai Giang sent his best wishes to the forces participating in the parade and marching and said: In the past time, although the weather conditions in the regions were not favorable, but with high determination, honor and pride in participating in the parade and marching in the celebration ceremony, the forces have persevered in training, overcome difficulties, and met the criteria: "Correct, even, strong, beautiful, unified", creating a heroic and solemn atmosphere, demonstrating the strength of the Army after 50 years of liberating the South and unifying the country.

“It is also the honor and pride of the people and armed forces of Binh Dinh province to welcome and encourage the delegation, and at the same time wish to send to the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification the love and sincerity of the people of Binh Dinh, the homeland of “cloth clothes, red flags”, “the homeland of martial arts and literature”, said comrade Lam Hai Giang.

During their stay at Dieu Tri Station, the parade participants received a warm welcome from the local people. The organizing committee also provided drinks and snacks to encourage the parade participants.

Lieutenant Ngo Thi Thu Hien (Army Honorary Corps) shared that she was honored to be part of the parade and marching force in the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. Notably, at Dieu Tri Station, Hien was encouraged and supported by her aunt and uncle (who are living in Binh Dinh). “I was very happy and felt warm when everyone warmly welcomed us and encouraged us to go on our way in good health. This is a beautiful memory in my military life,” Hien said.

Major General Lo Xuan Thuan, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 1, on behalf of the forces participating in the parade, thanked the leaders and people of Binh Dinh province for their affection for the forces. At the same time, he emphasized that this was the motivation and added strength for the forces participating in the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification to successfully complete their tasks on the country's important holiday.

According to the plan of the Ministry of National Defense, the military and militia forces will be divided into 5 groups marching to the South on 5 trains. Of which, 4 groups will move from Hanoi station by train on April 3 and 4; train number 5 will move from Tam Ky station ( Quang Nam ).

The total number of military officers, soldiers and militia forces in the 5 marching groups is nearly 3,200 people. During the march, the forces participating in the parade will stop at a number of points to interact with local people, demonstrating the solidarity between the army and the people, and at the same time spreading the spirit of patriotism to all parts of the country.

In the late night of April 4 and early morning of April 5, there will be two more trains carrying troops to Ho Chi Minh City for the parade, which will stop at Dieu Tri Station. The Provincial Military Command has organized forces to welcome the delegation thoughtfully and solemnly.

The parade is expected to take place solemnly within the framework of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, held at 8:00 a.m. on April 30, on Le Duan Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) with more than 13,000 participants.
