The sense of responsibility, dedication and creativity of union members who are typical Party members in non-state enterprises is a vivid proof of the achievements from the close connection between the Union organization and the Party, contributing to building a strong contingent of cadres and Party members to meet the requirements of national development.
Care to build and honor
In Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation", it is emphasized: "Establishing trade union organizations, improving operational efficiency to create a premise for establishing other party organizations and unions" in non-state enterprises. The activities of Vietnam Trade Union in this area are not only the foundation for raising political awareness for outstanding union members, but also contribute significantly to training and recruiting new party members. Thereby, creating a close connection between the Trade Union and the Party, towards sustainable development for enterprises and society.

According to Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Ha Duy Trung, implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW and Action Program No. 05-CTr/TU dated May 14, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on "Improving the leadership capacity, fighting strength of grassroots party organizations and the quality of party members in the period 2020 - 2025", trade unions at all levels in the province have actively introduced outstanding trade union members to the Party for consideration, training and admission. In 2024, 1,022 outstanding union members were admitted to the Party, of which 82 were from the production and business sector. Up to now, the whole province has 32,168 party members who are trade union members, of which 2,078 are from the production and business sector.
On the morning of January 17, at the Memorial House of the Dieu Tri Depot Party Cell (Tuy Phuoc District), the Provincial Federation of Labor held a ceremony to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and commend 50 union members who are exemplary party members in non-state enterprise grassroots unions. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will also hold the first National Conference to commend 95 exemplary party members, scheduled for February 15-16, 2025.
"Recognizing exemplary party members is to create motivation for competition and promote the responsibility of cadres and union members in achieving the goal of building a strong union to meet the requirements of the new period," Mr. Trung emphasized.
Set an example for exemplary party members
Binh Dinh Provincial Trade Union has one outstanding Party member who will be honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Mai Trung Hung, Head of Maintenance Team - Power Workshop, Saigon - Central Beer Joint Stock Company Branch in Quy Nhon. After 28 years of working and more than 20 years of Party membership, for many years, Mr. Hung has been trusted with the task of participating in renovating a number of equipment to save energy, along with useful initiatives recognized by the company.
Mr. Hung shared: As a party member, one must always uphold the sense of responsibility, promote dynamism and creativity, the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, and determination to complete all assigned tasks well. I always put myself in the collective, strive to study and practice, cultivate morality and lifestyle following the example of President Ho Chi Minh .
Among the 6 outstanding party members in Hoai Nhon Town recognized by the Provincial Federation of Labor, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tiep - Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, President of the Trade Union of Tam Quan Garment Joint Stock Company stands out. Ms. Tiep proposed and coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to organize many meaningful activities for union members and workers such as:
camping, team building, innovation rewards, and other forms of support and care for workers' lives. In 2024, the Company's grassroots union spent more than 550 million VND to organize many activities that closely followed the actual needs of workers.
Ms. Tiep shared: Even small but practical attention will help employees become more attached to the Company and the Union organization, striving to work better. From there, it will create a source of selecting excellent union members to train, consider, and introduce them to the Party.
Outstanding Party member Vo Thi Tat Quynh, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of New Hope Binh Dinh Company Limited (An Nhon Town), has many achievements in trade union work and activities. Working in a 100% foreign-owned enterprise, she always upholds the responsibility of a Party member and trade union official, contributing to the sustainable development of the enterprise.
Outstanding party member Tran Thi Men, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of TSC Tay Son Fine Arts Ceramics Production and Export Company Limited (Tay Son District), has advised the Company's leaders on many initiatives and technical improvements applied in the enterprise to reduce costs of purchasing supplies and raw materials, ensure safety in production, improve product quality and business efficiency. From there, she contributed to increasing the workers' salary from 7 million VND to 8 million VND/month.
"As a party member and union official, I must set an example and constantly strive to excellently complete assigned tasks," Ms. Men affirmed.
