From the end of 2024 to present, Huu Lung district has implemented the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for more than 500 households according to Resolution No. 188-NQ/TU dated October 25, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Decision No. 270/QD-UBND dated January 24, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee. During the implementation process, all levels and sectors in the district have promoted, mobilized, and called on all people and units to participate in supporting and contributing to the above work and received positive responses. In particular, Huu Lung District Business Association is one of the typical units.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan, Vice President of the Huu Lung District Business Association, said: The Association has 90 members, operating in many fields. With the goal of linking production and business development with social responsibility, since the programs to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area were implemented, the Association has widely disseminated the content of the programs to all members and mobilized member businesses to participate in contributing and supporting funds and raw materials.
Mr. Hoang Trung Thanh, Director of Truong Thinh Phat Lang Son Real Estate Company Limited shared: As a unit operating in the field of construction investment and real estate, in the past time, the company still faced many difficulties due to high costs, material prices, and labor. However, the company has balanced its resources to support funding for programs to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. At the same time, it called on the entire workforce to support equivalent to 1 day's salary. As a result, from the end of 2024 to present, the unit has contributed 500 million VND through many channels such as direct donation, support through the District Business Association and through the Fatherland Front at all levels.
Similarly, Thinh An Binh Company Limited, Yen Vuong Commune (operating in the field of mining, processing and trading construction stone) also actively responded to the movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district. Mr. Pham Manh Cuong, Deputy Director of Thinh An Binh Company Limited, said: From the end of 2024 to now, the unit has allocated production revenue to contribute 300 million VND to programs to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; supported construction stone to repair and build 14 new houses under 2 programs. At the same time, the company has registered with the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Yen Vuong Commune to build a new house for 1 household in the commune with a total value of 60 million VND and is expected to implement in the near future.
Along with the above 2 enterprises, according to statistics of the Huu Lung District Business Association, from the end of 2024 to present, the business community in the district has supported funds and materials for programs to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with a total value of 2.6 billion VND. Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Huu Lung District, said: With the close direction of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district and the active participation and sense of responsibility of the district's business community, as of May 5, 2025, Huu Lung District has completed the support for building new and repairing houses for 204/204 households according to Resolution No. 188-NQ/TU dated October 25, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee. Of the 358 households supported to repair and build new houses according to Decision No. 270/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee, the district has completed the construction and repair of 120 houses and started construction of 117 houses; the remaining 121 houses will continue to be implemented as planned.
The completed projects have helped people enjoy peace of mind in living, working and producing. Ms. Phung Thi Lan, a resident of Chuc Quan village, Yen Vuong commune, shared: My family has 3 people, my husband died early so the economy is difficult and we have to live in an old, unsafe house. With support from the temporary house and dilapidated house removal program with 30 million VND, I have repaired all the rotten tiled roofs and repainted the doors. Now, the house is more spacious and solid, the family is very grateful to the Party, the State and the attention of all levels, sectors and supporting businesses.
The contribution of the Huu Lung District Business Association has contributed to creating more resources to accelerate the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area. At the same time, it demonstrates the spirit of mutual love and support, "the rich help the poor" as well as the qualities of Lang Son businessmen and enterprises.
