Hanoi Railway One Member Co., Ltd. (Hanoi Metro) has just announced its financial report for the first 6 months of 2025. Hanoi Metro is currently the operator of the two metro lines Cat Linh - Ha Dong and Nhon - Hanoi Station.
In the first half of the year, Hanoi Metro's revenue reached VND393.2 billion, up 54% over the same period. After-tax profit reached approximately VND10 billion, 3 times higher than the same period last year.
Notably, most of the profit does not come from the core passenger transport activity, but mainly from financial revenue. Specifically, the company's financial revenue in the first half of this year reached more than VND 23.6 billion, an increase of 2.6 times over the same period. This revenue comes from interest on deposits and loans. As of June 30, 2025, the company has more than VND 1,200 billion in bank deposits.

In 2025, Hanoi Metro targets total revenue of VND878.4 billion, an increase of 40% compared to 2024. The target of pre-tax profit and after-tax profit is VND27 billion and VND20.7 billion.
Thus, in the first 6 months of this year, Hanoi Metro has achieved half of its revenue target, and nearly 50% of its after-tax profit target.
The Cat Linh - Ha Dong metro line is 13km long, running above ground through 12 stations. Each train has 4 carriages, carrying 960 people, maximum speed 80km/h, operating speed 35km/h. The train takes 23 minutes to travel the entire route.
The Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line has a total length of 12.5km. Of which, the elevated section (Nhon - Cau Giay) is 8.5km long and the underground section (Cau Giay - Hanoi Railway Station) is 4km long. The train has a maximum speed of 80km/h, an average operating speed of 35km/h, carrying about 950 passengers.
