Develop your own platform.
Vietnamese technology companies such as VinGroup,FPT , VNPT, and Viettel are developing AI products for various fields. FPT, in particular, has formed a diverse ecosystem of AI products, solutions, and platforms to help businesses and organizations optimize operations and improve efficiency.

To date, more than 100 businesses are using FPT's AI solutions, serving over 14 million end-device users. The comprehensive FPT.AI artificial intelligence platform helps businesses reduce costs by 60%, increase labor productivity, and optimize business processes; or akaTrans – an automated English-Japanese-Vietnamese specialized document translation service used by over 6,000 people from more than 100 businesses – helps standardize processes and improve translation productivity by 75%…
Keeping pace with the trend of AI application in management, MISA has developed the MISA AVA AI Assistant, integrated into the MISA AMIS unified enterprise management platform. MISA AVA helps businesses quickly query data, generate visual reports, and conduct in-depth analysis, creating a solid foundation for strategic decisions. MISA AVA also forecasts key indicators, supporting flexible management and optimizing operational efficiency. “The application of AI has increased customer service productivity by 1.71 times by using 350 people instead of 600 to handle customer service, while simultaneously optimizing financial processes, automating accounting, and helping businesses access capital faster. Currently, more than 5,000 businesses have been granted loan limits totaling VND 25 trillion through MISA's AI platform, with a successful disbursement rate 10 times higher than conventional methods,” said Mr. Le Hong Quang, General Director of MISA Corporation.
VNPT is also accelerating investment in AI and focusing on products for everyday applications. VNPT BioID is a platform that helps manage biometric identification data, enabling organizations and businesses to easily apply biometric technology to electronic identification and authentication. This is a powerful electronic authentication and identification solution based on AI technology and integrated with various biometric technologies such as Face, Finger, Voice, Iris… VNPT BioID has been provided by VNPT to many corporate customers in the banking and securities sectors, offering the ability to store and process millions of biometric samples at high speed.
“AI has contributed to the advancement of other industries, such as retail companies using AI to personalize shopping experiences, predict consumer trends, and optimize inventory management. Banks and financial institutions use AI to detect fraud, assess risks, and provide better customer service… Thus, AI is present in business life and is proving effective,” an FPT representative shared.
Applications on a global platform.
Besides developing their own platforms, the trend of international technology corporations applying AI is a current direction for exploiting AI. A notable example is Meta AI, a unique AI application operating on the Llama 4 model, offering a more personalized AI experience. Ms. Thanh Ngan, a small business owner selling handicrafts in Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, shared: “Because Meta AI is deeply and seamlessly integrated across WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook, Instagram, and the web version… it makes it easy for me to use the AI assistant anytime.”
According to Khoi Le, Country Director of Meta in Vietnam, 66% of Vietnamese businesses are using AI to communicate with customers and 63% are using it to find new customers. This shows that AI is no longer a technology of the future, but has become an essential part of businesses' growth strategies. Currently, Meta offers many new AI solutions in the Vietnamese market, such as: Opportunity Score - a new tool that helps businesses evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of advertising campaigns in real time within Ads Manager; and Transfer with Your Payment App, which allows customers to pay directly in Messenger through popular banking and e-wallet applications in Vietnam.
The application of large-scale platforms from leading technology corporations has brought many benefits. Viettel, with its GenAI virtual legal assistant application on the Llama 3.3 platform, helps legal staff search for documents faster and more accurately, shortening working time by about 30%. Meanwhile, Co Mem HomeLab, a purely Vietnamese natural cosmetics brand, has achieved progress thanks to integrating Meta's advertising solution; the company's business campaign recorded a 1.4-fold increase in orders, while the cost per order decreased by 30%...
However, Mr. Le Hong Quang, General Director of MISA Joint Stock Company, believes that deploying AI is not just about applying technology, but also requires a comprehensive change in operating models and management thinking. AI cannot operate effectively without a clear strategy. Integrating AI into only a few departments without a long-term direction can lead to businesses investing in a scattered manner without achieving the desired results. Therefore, AI needs to be considered a core part of the business's development strategy, not just a temporary support tool.
The percentage of businesses applying AI to management increased from 33% in 2022 to 72% in 2024 (according to IBM, Forbes, and McKinsey). This technology is strongly supporting customer service (56%), cybersecurity (51%), customer relationship management (42%), and content production (40%). Businesses that use data for decision-making can attract customers up to 23 times more effectively than traditional businesses. To effectively implement AI, businesses need to focus on three key elements: a robust data infrastructure, workforce training to change the corporate culture, and phased AI application, avoiding a scattered and indiscriminate deployment.
