Suffer to create foundation for the future

After graduating, Dang Que Tran (23 years old) found a job in the media department of a studio in Thu Duc City (HCMC). Although it was not in her major and the salary was not good, this Gen Z girl said she was satisfied with that job.

"I study English and want to pursue a career in communications in the future. This job is like a stepping stone for me, so I don't want to miss this opportunity," Tran laughed.

Because she changed her major, Tran had to learn almost everything from scratch. Not to mention she had to change her daily routine to adapt to the nature of the job. Staying up several days in a row to work gradually became a daily routine for Tran.

It's quite stressful but you never want to quit. Tran said it's not just a job to make a living, but will bring many quality relationships in the media field you're aiming for.

The 23-year-old girl said that all she could do when facing obstacles was… to be persistent! "I always proactively ask my boss and seniors when I encounter a deadlock at work to learn and gain experience," Tran boasted.

To make ends meet, Tran also found a part-time job to earn extra income so she could stay in the industry and find new opportunities in the media and events sector.

Hope the job is stable

Nguyen Hong Y (22 years old, in Binh Duong ) just finished her internship not long ago but got a job right after submitting her first CV, working as a marketing staff at a career guidance company.

It was his hobby and similar to his major, but he was a bit disillusioned because "he didn't think working would be so tiring". When asked, he learned that although the work wasn't much, he had to constantly monitor chat groups to understand how the company operated.

"I have to learn a lot of things. I'm already overwhelmed after just a few days of probation. When I get home, I'm exhausted and don't want to do anything," Ý said.

Having asked around beforehand, he understood that almost everyone experiences this pressure when starting a new job. He wanted stability and did not want to have to move around from place to place, so he told himself to put the pressure aside and work even harder.

Meanwhile, Thu Vinh (23 years old) said she is doing quite well with her administrative work at a foreign company, although there were times when she was a bit exhausted due to too much work.

"There were times when I felt extremely stressed and tired, especially when I didn't have support from my boss or colleagues, so I even thought about quitting," Vinh confided.

But remembering the time she sent out her CV everywhere but received almost no response, she immediately extinguished that thought. "In the current difficult economic context, having a job with a stable income is already very lucky," Vinh laughed.

Gen Z thích nhảy việc là điều bình thường It's normal for Gen Z to like to change jobs.

'There is nothing special about saying that Gen Z often changes jobs. Wherever you feel the job is suitable for your training, ability, strengths, and salary, you will stop there'.
