The national women's Futsal team will have more than 4 weeks to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games. After the domestic training period, the team will go to China for training, including two friendly matches with the Chinese women's Futsal team in early December.

Notably, in this call-up list, with the policy of rejuvenating the squad, the coaching board decided to choose many young faces to be on the team list.
Specifically, the four young faces include Tran Tuyet Mai, Lam Thi Xuan, Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong (both Thai Son Nam HCMC), Nguyen Huynh Nhu (Thong Nhat Sports Center) and Nguyen Phuong Anh (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Binh ).

Two players of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Football Club, Tran Thi Thuy Trang and K'Thua, after completing the group stage of the 2025-2026 Asian Women's Club Cup, will return to the Vietnam Women's Futsal team on November 20.
Basically, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang still keeps most of the squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2025 Asian Futsal Championship.
Sharing about the preparation for SEA Games 33, Head Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: “The current squad of Vietnam Women’s Futsal is a combination of experience and youth. During this training period, the coaching staff will focus on adjusting speed, tactics, and physical strength towards positive changes for the future of Vietnam Women’s Futsal.”
It is known that the team's goal is to focus highly, improve the players' professional skills and maintain the highest determination, aiming to reach the finals.
At SEA Games 33, the Vietnamese women's team is in the same group with Indonesia and Myanmar.
With the group having 2 teams entering the semi-finals, the immediate goal set by the coaching staff is to win the group to avoid Thailand (most likely to win group A) in the semi-finals.
