Welcoming the first flight bringing Chinese tourists to vacation

Representatives of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and local authorities came to the plane's stairs to welcome the passengers on the flight. Each passenger upon getting off the plane received flowers and lucky money envelopes to celebrate Lunar New Year from the delegates.

As planned, from January 23 to March 23, 2023, Vietjet Air will organize about 35 flights to bring Chinese tourists from the provinces of Anhui, Hunan and Sichuan to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa with a frequency of 4-5 flights/week, each flight will have from 180 to 220 tourists.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism said that with the experience gained in the past time, along with fully prepared equipment and infrastructure, ensuring quality, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism is always ready to welcome a large number of international visitors in 2023, including Chinese tourists. "We want to affirm that Khanh Hoa is always a "safe, quality, attractive and friendly" tourist destination, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh said.

To ensure the strengthening of COVID-19 prevention and control during the peak tourist season of the Lunar New Year and the upcoming festival season, Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism has directed travel businesses, tourist areas, destinations, accommodation establishments and tourism service businesses in the province to continue implementing epidemic prevention and control solutions according to the 2K formula (masks, disinfection); mobilize and remind employees in the unit to get vaccinated against COVID-19 according to the recommendations of the Ministry of Health. Accommodation establishments arrange temporary medical isolation rooms for tourists entering the country if they have COVID-19; immediately coordinate with local health agencies to receive instructions and support for epidemic prevention and control according to regulations...

In recent years, China has been considered the leading tourist market of Khanh Hoa province. Before the outbreak of COVID-19, Chinese tourists ranked first in the structure of international visitors to Khanh Hoa province, accordingly, in 2019, the whole province welcomed more than 2.5 million Chinese visitors, accounting for more than 70% of international tourists coming to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.

In 2022, Khanh Hoa province welcomed over 2.5 million tourists to stay, visit and relax, and achieved revenue of over VND 13,843 billion, 5.75 times higher than in 2021. Regarding tourist accommodation facilities, Khanh Hoa province currently has 1,169 tourist accommodation facilities with more than 55,530 rooms. Of which, the total number of 3-5 star tourist accommodation facilities recognized is 107 with 24,885 rooms, accounting for nearly 50% of the total number of rooms in Khanh Hoa province. Khanh Hoa tourism industry aims to welcome about 4 million tourists in 2023, including about 2.5 million domestic visitors and 1.5 million international visitors, with tourism revenue estimated at VND 21,000 billion./.
