Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province.

Attending the conference were Central Committee members: Nguyen Quang Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department; Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Information and Communications; Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Central Committee member and Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee; and leaders of Thai Nguyen province.

Presenting Decision No. 1517-QD/TW, dated August 27, 2024, of the Central Party Secretariat on the appointment of Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, to the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, Comrade Nguyen Quang Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department, emphasized that Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung is a young cadre with good political qualities, capabilities, and many outstanding achievements in his work.

Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, delivered a speech accepting the nhiệm vụ.

Comrade Nguyen Quang Duong expressed his hope that, in his new position, Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung would continue to strive, train, develop his abilities and strengths, quickly grasp the work situation, and together with the Executive Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, proactively and creatively lead the successful implementation of goals and tasks. He also requested the Executive Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee to continue to maintain unity and create favorable conditions for Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung to excellently fulfill his assigned duties.

In his acceptance speech, Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung expressed that being nominated by the Central Organizing Committee and appointed by the Secretariat to participate in the Provincial Party Committee and Standing Committee, and to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, and being elected Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee by the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council, is a great honor and source of pride, but also a great responsibility.

Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung pledged that, in his newly assigned position, he would fully utilize his youthful energy, experience, and knowledge, constantly striving to improve his political acumen and contribute to the collective efforts of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Executive Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee to promote unity and consensus, successfully achieving all assigned goals and tasks, and leading Thai Nguyen to rapid and sustainable development.

Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, born in 1983 in Hanoi , was appointed Deputy Minister of Information and Communications in 2020. He has made significant contributions to improving Vietnam's ranking on the United Nations' global cybersecurity ranking, from 100th to 25th; he participated in research, provided advice, chaired the editing and implementation of the Law on Cybersecurity; and the National Digital Transformation Project to 2025, with a vision to 2030.
