On the afternoon of February 17, comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting and worked with the delegation of the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad and Japanese investors. Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Quang Hung, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vu Kim Cu, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of the province; leaders of relevant departments and branches; representatives of organizations, Japanese and provincial investors.

Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his pleasure at welcoming the Association of Overseas Vietnamese Entrepreneurs and Japanese investors to learn about and promote investment in the province. He gave an overview of the province's potential and strengths, emphasizing that Thai Binh province has a favorable location, synchronous traffic connections, abundant labor resources; large industrial development land fund, preferential policies and open investment environment. In 2024, the economic growth rate (GRDP) will increase by 7.01% compared to 2023, the average economic growth in the period 2021 - 2024 will increase by 1.35 times compared to the national average; the economic scale will rank 23rd out of 63 provinces and cities; attracting FDI investment of 1.2 billion USD, ranking 12th in the country. In 2025, Thai Binh strives for economic growth (GRDP) to reach 10.5% and PCI to reach the top 30 provinces and cities nationwide.

Comrade Vu Kim Cu, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Park Management Board, gave an overview of the potential and advantages of Thai Binh Economic Zone and industrial parks in the province.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hoped that Japanese enterprises would take the time to research and survey cooperation and investment opportunities in the province. The locality is ready to welcome and create the most favorable conditions for foreign investors in general and Japanese investors in particular to invest in Thai Binh. Provincial leaders pledged to always accompany enterprises, listen and direct, and promptly remove obstacles in the process of implementing investment projects.

At the meeting, representatives of the provincial departments and branches and representatives of Japanese organizations and investors exchanged and focused on discussing issues related to investment cooperation such as high-tech agricultural production, food export, energy, manufacturing of machinery for agriculture, finance - banking, construction of industrial park infrastructure, logistics, tourism, etc. Representatives of the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad, Japan - Asia Trade Promotion Association; Department of Economics - Science and Technology, State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnamese Trade Counselor in Japan and Japanese investors thanked the province for its warm welcome to the delegation; at the same time, highly appreciated the development, potential and available space of the province in attracting investment. The organizations are committed to be a bridge to promote and introduce the land, people, potential, strengths, development space and investment opportunities of Thai Binh province to overseas Vietnamese, businesses, investors from other countries, including Japanese investors coming to the province to learn, research and cooperate in investment in the coming time. Along with that, they hope to connect with businesses of Thai Binh province and Japanese investors to cooperate in investment in areas of strength.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the fields that Japanese enterprises are interested in investing in are all strengths of the province. Therefore, he hopes that after today's meeting, there will be more effective cooperation in investment between Japanese enterprises and Thai Binh province. At the same time, he assigned the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of the province and the relevant departments and branches to coordinate, support and create the best conditions for Japanese investors in the process of research, survey and realization of cooperation through projects on the ground.
