BHG - Within the framework of the 2025 Spring Meeting between Provincial Party Secretaries and the 16th Joint Working Committee Conference between 4 provinces (Quang Ninh, Ha Giang, Lang Son and Cao Bang) of Vietnam and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, on the afternoon of February 20, in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, had a courtesy meeting with Comrade Tran Cuong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Attending the meeting were the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of 4 provinces: Quang Ninh, Ha Giang, Lang Son, Cao Bang and the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.

At the reception, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics congratulated Comrade Tran Cuong on his new position as Secretary of the Guangxi Regional Party Committee. The Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics highly appreciated the role of the 2025 Spring Meeting Program between Provincial Party Secretaries and the 16th Joint Working Committee Conference between the four provinces (Quang Ninh, Ha Giang, Lang Son, Cao Bang ) of Vietnam and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Because the Spring Meeting Program and the Joint Working Committee Conference are opportunities to promote cooperation in various fields between the four border provinces of Vietnam and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China), thereby contributing to further tightening the relationship between Vietnam and China.

Regarding cooperation in the coming time, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics suggested that the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) continue to closely follow the high-level common perception between the leaders of the Party and State of the two countries, continue to effectively implement mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields, especially in economics - trade, infrastructure, science and technology, especially the pilot construction of a smart border gate model to facilitate customs clearance of goods between the two sides; continue to cooperate in managing the land border between the two countries well.

Speaking at the reception, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China Tran Cuong thanked Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of the four border provinces of Vietnam for the warm and respectful reception of the Delegation of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.

Comrade Tran Cuong affirmed that he personally attaches special importance to the friendly and cooperative relations with Vietnamese localities. Therefore, in his position as Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Party Committee, he will continue to comprehensively and effectively implement the common perception of the top leaders of the two Parties and two States on further deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance. At the same time, he emphasized that he will continue to carry out exchanges and cooperation in many fields between Guangxi and the border provinces of Vietnam. The focus will be on enhancing exchanges of delegations at all levels, expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, especially in economics, trade, investment, education and training, science and technology, including the development of artificial intelligence (AI), accelerating the construction of pilot smart border gates, promoting road and railway traffic connections, facilitating trade of goods and travel between China and Vietnam as well as ASEAN countries, promoting people-to-people exchanges, enhancing friendly exchanges and mutual understanding between the people of Guangxi and Vietnamese localities.
