On the morning of April 28, in Da Lat City, Comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission, presented the Politburo's Decision to transfer and appoint Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie K'dam, Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council, to hold the position of Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee.

Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie K'dam, from Dak Lak , has a master's degree in public management.
He started working in the customs sector; then transferred to the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, then became Secretary of the Cu M'gar District Party Committee (January 2014 - May 2015), Secretary of the Buon Ma Thuot City Party Committee (May 2015 - February 2019), Secretary of the Central Enterprise Party Committee (February 2019 - January 2021).

In July 2021, at the first session of the 15th National Assembly, comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie K'dam was elected Chairman of the Ethnic Council.

Also at the ceremony, Acting Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thai Hoc, 53 years old, was transferred to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations (2020-2025).

Currently, the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee consists of four comrades: Y Thanh Ha Nie K'dam - Secretary, and three Deputy Secretaries: Pham Hong Thai, Pham Thi Phuc and Bui Thang.
Lam Dong covers an area of 9,765 km2 and has a population of over 1.5 million. According to the Central Resolution, Lam Dong will merge with Binh Thuan and Dak Nong to form a new province named Lam Dong, with a natural area of over 24,200 km2 and a population of 3.3 million.
The new Lam Dong province's political and administrative center is located in Da Lat city and is expected to have more than 120 commune-level administrative units under its management.
