Dong Nai plans to forcibly reclaim land from households that have not yet handed over land for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project from March 5 to ensure the construction progress of the national key project.
Today (February 22), Mr. Ho Van Nam - Secretary of Bien Hoa City Party Committee, Dong Nai province - continued to inspect the progress of site clearance and construction of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway section passing through the area.
During the inspection, Mr. Nam praised the active working spirit of the working groups in propagating and mobilizing people to hand over the land, even on weekends.
By this morning, 188 households in Tam Phuoc and Phuoc Tan wards had agreed to hand over their land. Mr. Nam thanked the households for voluntarily dismantling the construction and moving their assets, contributing to speeding up the progress of the key project.
Mr. Nam directed relevant units to urgently dismantle the works that have been committed to be handed over, especially in the area adjacent to Vo Nguyen Giap Street (Phuoc Tan Ward). Currently, the operating office of package 18 has been installed and is ready for construction as soon as the site is available.
The Bien Hoa City Party Secretary emphasized that the mobilization work will continue until February 27. As for households that have not yet handed over their land despite being mobilized, the Bien Hoa City People's Committee and the authorities of the two wards will conduct a final review. If they still do not comply, from March 5, the city will implement a coercive plan to ensure the completion of the handover of the land by next March.
