Dong Nai organizes groundbreaking ceremony for construction of 'Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses'

During the program, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc and Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Cao Van Quang presented symbolic funds for house construction and repair to 10 families in Vinh Cuu district, with each house receiving initial support from 30 to 80 million VND.

According to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, the groundbreaking ceremony is part of the program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" of Dong Nai province. This is a program with profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the tradition of "Repaying gratitude", "Love others as you love yourself", contributing to ensuring social security, building Dong Nai province to develop more and more.

Responding to the Movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Prime Minister and striving to complete the goal of basically eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the whole province by April 30, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc requested the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Program "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" at all levels to focus on reviewing and making a list of households in need of support, ensuring the right subjects, proposing approval of additional needs so that the poor and people with difficult housing circumstances can have a more spacious and happier home.

Focus on implementing housing construction to ensure progress, completing before April 30, 2025; ensure construction quality, maximize resource utilization, avoid loss and waste; continue to call for and mobilize social resources, promote the spirit of "Mutual love", effectively support housing construction for the poor.

According to the plan, from now until April 30, Dong Nai will start building houses for 265 cases. Of which, poor households, near-poor households, and people in difficult circumstances will receive support of 80 million VND; families with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs will receive support of 120 million VND.
