Bach Dang Shipyard starts construction of 3 new 6,600-ton cargo ships

Bach Dang Shipbuilding Company Limited has just started cutting sheet metal and started construction of a project to build three new 6,600-ton cargo ships.

Mr. Tu Minh Hung, General Director of Bach Dang Shipbuilding Company Limited, said that the project of 3 cargo ships of 6,600 tons (design symbols RS 15, 16, 18) has investors being An Dung Phat Trading Company Limited and An Tien Manh Company Limited; the general contractor is An Phat Energy Joint Stock Company.

Mr. Tu Minh Hung, General Director of Bach Dang Shipbuilding Company Limited, pledged to mobilize human and material resources to focus on the construction of the project of 3 new 6,600-ton cargo ships.

The 6,600T cargo ship is a traditional product, a general cargo ship. The ship is designed to operate in international waters, with no restrictions, so it requires very high technical features, operational features, and must satisfy the standards for building steel-hulled seagoing ships of Vietnam standard, and satisfy the regulations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Thereby affirming the optimization of design and professionalism in shipbuilding of the factory.

The ship has the following technical parameters: Length 89.99m; design length 84.98m; ship width 16m; side height 9.1m; draft 7,100m; deadweight 6,600T; total capacity (GT) 3,754T.

On the investor side, Mr. Tran Van Quynh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of An Dung Phat Trading Company Limited, expressed his confidence that with the experience and capacity of Bach Dang Shipbuilding Company, the ship after completion and operation will be effective and have a brand name in the domestic and foreign maritime transport industry. Mr. Quynh requested Bach Dang Shipbuilding Company and the general contractor to focus on human and material resources to coordinate with the design unit and support from the inspection agency to speed up the project construction progress and ensure quality.
