The Digital Hub Super Data Center Project and the Submarine Optical Cable Landing Project have new moves

Driving force behind digital transformation

DCH Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (DCH) has just presented the plan and implementation plan of the Super Data Center Project - Digital Hub and the Submarine Optical Cable Project to the Departments of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

Previously, the local government approved DCH Company to conduct a survey in Chau Duc district to develop a plan to implement the Data Center Project, and in Vung Tau city to deploy a submarine fiber optic cable landing station, serving the preparation of investment reports and implementation in the next phase.

These two projects are very important in the development of information technology in Ba Ria - Vung Tau in particular and Vietnam in general, especially the Data Center Project - Digital Hub.

The Digital Hub will be invested to achieve level 4 rating of TIA-942 standard.

With an estimated investment scale of up to 35,000 billion VND, the Digital Hub Center is expected to be invested to achieve a level 4 rating according to TIA-942 standards, in accordance with the most stringent global standards for data center design.

The Digital Hub will also comply with Vietnamese construction standards, especially TCVN 9250-2021.

According to the plan, the Digital Hub Center will be built on an area of 100 hectares, including 5 data center buildings (Data Center Hall) with a capacity of each Data Center Hall of 20 MW.

These 5 Data Center Halls will have a total capacity of up to 6,000 equipment cabinets (racks) with an average capacity of 15 kW/rack.

The center will be invested with equipment to meet the most stringent criteria on safety and security. At the same time, it will be built with a disaster prevention, response and recovery system to protect and restore data operations in emergency situations, ensuring continuity and stability in all conditions.

Along with the Digital Hub Project, the DCH Submarine Fiber Optic Cable Ashore Project is equally important. Because in addition to providing services related to telecommunications infrastructure, the main task of these fiber optic cables is to serve the transmission and storage of data for the Digital Hub Center.

The submarine optical cable project is expected to play an important role in the digital infrastructure, regional and international data transmission infrastructure, ensuring network safety and redundancy, ensuring the quality of Internet services and other international connection services as well as national information security.

These are also driving projects to promote the digital transformation strategy according to the Government's orientation and international data transmission, contributing to the formation of a dynamic industrial zone of information technology, digital technology , attracting investment in electronic products, internet of things or artificial intelligence in Vietnam in general and Ba Ria - Vung Tau in particular.
